Changzhou No.2 People’s Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, has been evolved to a modern third-grade class-A general hospital specializing medical treatment, education, research, disease prevention and emergency since its foundation in 1937. The institution currently has 4 branches in Changzhou City, Yanghu, Golden Orient and Tianning, and its action plan is “strengthen the Yanghu branch, refine the Changzhou City branch and optimize the Golden Orient branch”. The hospitalestablished Changzhou School of Clinical Medicine of Nanjing Medical University and ranked No.17 in the top 30 hospitals of Jiangsu Province in the national hospital competitive ranking list, which was run by the Ailibi Hospital Management Research Center, Hong Kongin 2016.

 

Up to now, Changzhou No.2 People’s Hospital maintains 2200 ward beds; the hospital has more than 2693 medical and administrative staff out of which 522 are senior physicians and another 601 holding doctoral or master degrees; the institution also features 5 doctoral research stations, 15 master’s education stations and under supervision of 84 doctoral mentors & master tutors.

 

The hospital manages 57 clinical departments and medical technical sections, including 9 provincial key clinical specialties, 1 key discipline of Nanjing Medical University, 7 municipal key disciplines and 27 municipal key clinical specialties. There are dozens of advanced-level technologies from different departments of the hospital: general surgery, orthopedics, endocrinology, chest surgery, cardiology, respiratory, oncology and radiotherapy.
